Bureaucracy Spiral

I have a client who mistakenly thought she was on one OHP insurance- that I could take- but was on another. I contacted their insurance to see if there was anything to be done, and they gave me all this information on how to request a single case agreement. I did all the work and faxed them the info and didn’t hear anything. I called them weekly for 6 weeks, and finally someone looked at it, in fact I got a fax back that day. It had been outsourced to a 3rd party company in California. The person who faxed back got all my information wrong and categorically denied it for a reason that made no sense. I wrote a letter to talk to a supervisor. I called and left a message. This OHP system asked for sensitive information, allowed it to be sent it to an outsourced organization, and then made it impossible to talk to a human being. And the person(s) who I could talk to had no power to help or solve this dilemma. So, a lot of work on my end trying to advocate for my client (and myself) and no respect or genuine communication was available, yet I was led to believe that a single case agreement was possible.
